So I’ve been working out this thing for a while, this goal. And I’m here, I made it! A few people have known about this decision for a while and now it’s time to share it with the general public aka Facebook/Tumblr/Twitter/whatever. I’ll make this as short as possible because I know how much everyone hates reading (except you, Tumby. You love reading).
Jan 15th, my ass will be boarding a 1 way flight to Sydney, Australia! I will be staying there for an unknown amount of time, but for now, I’m thinking a year. I might get there and hate it and want to run back home in a month. I might love it and work and play and stay the year. I might find that I am not, in fact, a cold, heartless, loveless bitch and find the love of my life AND STAY FOREVER AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER WITH KANGAROOS AND KOALAS! (or not). Anyways, I’m going to be working, traveling and living out there. I have a huge list of places I want to go to in the area (Thailand, Fiji, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Vietnam, ETCETCETC) I’ve got my living arrangements, work situation, flight and all the boring shit (bank account, tax ID #, etc) squared away so basically, all I need to do is get there. I even have a little mini vacation set for the first week with a bunch of backpacker Brits who are doing the same thing I am, which already looks like it’s going to be an experience within itself. Snorkeling, surf lessons, aquarium trip, beach bbq, pub crawl, mountain trip, jet boating on Sydney Harbour, ETC.
This is something I wanted to do a while ago but it just never worked out for me, I wasn’t ready. But this time I’m really ready and here I go. :) DON’T CRY FOR ME ARGENTINA, ETC. I’m looking forward to it! I’m terrified, I’m excited, I’m skeptical, I’m sure and everything in between. Wish me luck and come visit! I’m gonna miss you guys, but I’ll be back (except you Tumby, I’ll still be here). <3 KISSES, HUGZ, ETC. Luv u gaiyz.
ALSOOOOOOOOO, thinking of starting a separate travel blog about my adventures with pictures and shit (yawn). SoOoOo… There’s that. I’ll post the link whenever I set it up.
